Interior design has been a part of my life since I was little. My
mother was (and still is) constantly redoing every room in her house,
moving so that she could tackle another project, and buying more house
magazines and furniture than any one person could ever know what to do with. Even
as I
write this, I am staring at a demolished kitchen.
More than anything else, my mom loves antiques; a love that has now been passed down to me.
I enjoy taking something old, pairing it with a bright fabric or a
unique oddity, and filling a room with character. I like things to feel
laid back, comfortable, and welcoming, not formal or stuffy.
I love decorating houses, and one day hope to make it a part of my daily
life, whether it be by redecorating my own homes (dream big!), saving a
historic landmark, or simply helping a friend pick out furniture.
I cannot wait to dive into another project but, unfortunately for me, I am not moving for a few more months. Until then, these inspirational photos will just have to do!
I'm glad that someone else shares my desire to decorate! I may or may not have my dream house already decorated in my head. Let's hope that it one day comes to fruition! :) Love the inspiration you put here, such a good collection of ideas for the future!
