Even though I'm thrilled with my new apartment, these pictures of my old place left me feeling a little nostalgic. To think, when I moved in here, all the walls were painted brown and orange! I did a lot of work and only stayed one year!

It's that time of year again!  Though I enjoy every season, fall has to be my hands-down favorite. There's nothing better than throwing on a comfy pair of jeans and an oversized sweater and taking a walk in the brisk fall air to get a cup of tea in the morning. Even better - pack a picnic and head out to the nearest apple orchard! Then enjoy some homemade apple pie in front of the fire at night. Heaven!

I have literally moved at least once a year since I was 13 years old.  Whether it be moving to a dorm in boarding school, relocating for a job after college, or simply needing to live by myself, I was never in a situation that allowed me to stay put.  That's why when I moved last September, I swore that I would stay in that apartment long-term.  Well, it turns out that old habits are hard to break because when an past landlord contacted me saying he had an apartment coming available, I had to jump on it! (You just can't beat the location of this place.)  So, once again, I am packing up my things and moving at the end of the month!

Gorgeous right? Murals make an entire room a work of art! You don't have to have traditional taste to swath your walls in imagery. Sure, murals look great in old homes but they can add pizzazz to modern architecture as well, or as in the photo below, make an old home look a little more current.

There's nothing like jumping out of a plane to help you get over the break-up blues!  Sure, I had always said that skydiving was on my bucket list but never did I think that it would actually happen - at least not any time soon - or that I would be jumping out of a plane to get over a boy, especially one that I wasn't even dating!  But hey, we've all been there. If my friend needed a distraction to forget about guy troubles, who am I to let her down by not joining her in her crazy idea?

I apologize for not posting for a few months...I was just too busy! After working two full time jobs this past winter, things finally seem to be settling down so I'm excited to put some more effort into blogging. Last month I decided to leave my job at Coca-Cola and transition full time to real estate. Though it's nerve racking to not have a steady salary, I can honestly say I've never been happier!
