I don't think you could get more perfect than this month's Home Crush. As soon I saw this home, I was obsessed. As beautiful as it is, it's the location that truly got my attention.
230 Metaterraine Avenue is a reproduction of Andy Warhol's Montauk Estate, "Eothen". It sits on 14+ acres in picturesque Matunuck Rhode Island. It's a neighborhood I know well, having grown up only one exit over. I love that this home has an enormous amount of privacy, yet is a two-minute ride to the beach and only five minutes from town.
Anyone who knows me knows that someday I'd like to be the proud owner of two horses, two dogs, and a teacup pig. This home would complete the dream with plenty of space for them to roam around!
The house was built in 2004, yet it has the timeless feel and quality of the older homes I tend to admire. I love the natural wood that is used throughout most of the house.
How welcoming and tranquil does this bedroom look at the end of a long day? It would be my favorite retreat.
And then there's the master bath...Chandelier? Check. Fireplace? Check. French Doors? Check.
I would entertain all the time if I lived here. The open dining/living room concept is perfect for large parties, yet the mess from the kitchen is hidden away.
And will you look at all the outdoor space?
