My new apartment is coming together slowly, but surely. I still need to find a few things (living room rug, coffee table, throw pillows, etc), but I'm so excited that it's starting to take shape. Typically, I wouldn't describe my style as super girlie; I love leather furniture, large oriental rugs, and tartan throws. However, I figured since I have plenty of time for all that in the future, I should do an over-the-top ultra feminine apartment while I can.
I used these three photos for inspiration when designing my apartment. The vintage and modern pieces in the top two photos come together to create an eclectic feel and that's the look I'm going for. This works well for me because most of my furniture is something that has been in my family for years or auction finds, so nothing is too matchy, matchy.
Below are a few pieces I found at One Kings Lane that (in a dream world) I think would make the ultimate girlie girl apartment. Luckily for me (and you!), if you take the time to hunt, it's not too difficult to find similar pieces at more reasonable prices. I am constantly searching antique stores, estate sales, and even Target to find the perfect new addition to my home.
